Sue...
We went camping. Well, yeah, it was just yesterday afternoon and last
night, but it was a perfect afternoon to get away.
Our campsite and sunset at Jack Rabbit Mountain, Nantahala National Forest
on the blog.

JD Cooper...
err... you were gone?????

NHunkele...
Of course I missed you. I think I was awake half the night worrying.
The other half I was sleeping soundly after wondering why I was awake
half the night.
Norma

Sue...
I knew you missed me. That's why I raised my glass of merlot in your
direction.
sue

**Dalin**...
Wrong way Sue! It hit me in the face and it was gooood.

Sue...
Kewl! Must have been that Stan opened it and "let it breath"? Uh.....you
have some spilled on your t-shirt. Need some soda?
bk

**Dalin**...
Nah! It matches all the other stains. I'm working on a new art form.
:-)

Linda1...
Beautiful sunset, Sue.
Linda1

Sue...
It really wasn't much of a sunset as sunsets go, but, hey....for a
beautiful day it was worth it.

NOspam...
Sure sounds like fun!! I love camping :o)

Glad you had a good time, and WELCOME BACK :O)

**Dalin**...

Sue...
Kewl! Dalin Klee.
sue
Is that your white camper Sue? What is it? Oh btw, I would have
missed you if my newsreader had been working. Is that whole
area *your* camping area?

Dalin

Sue...
That is our Priscilla. Queen of the Mountains. Did you happen to see
Priscilla, Queen of the desert? (smile! One of my all time favorite
movies. Not everyone's cup of tea, of course. )
Priscilla is a 1989 Dodge Van, with an electric bed, TV, VCR, CB (does
anyone use those anymore?) and A/C. That's all we need. Well, actually we
don't need the TV or the VCR. We cook outside, we play outside. Only thing
we do inside is sleep.
That corner is all ours. There are 3 loops in the park. Only one open. We
were one of 3 campers in loop A.

Joy...
What a beautiful campsite, Sue! No wonder you like it so much!

I also loved Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Seeing it was part of my
"homework" to prepare for my first trip to Australia.

**Dalin**...
Sounds wonderful but what do you do if it rains? I guess you could
lie in bed and watch movies. :-)

Sue...
We usually have a tarp or screen room set up, but no rain was predicted.
And only time we would have gone inside is if there were lightning.
Even then, to watch movies, we would have to use our car battery or
electricity. We had no electricity.
sue

**Dalin**...
Do you carry everything you need inside the van like the screen room,
and clothes, and food and stove and dishes etc. It all fits along
with the bed?

Dalin

Sue...
Yup!

This morning on tv local news they showed the local camping area on
Oneida Lake ten miles from the city. It was empty cuz it hasn't
opened yet and looked so pretty. Lots of trees but spaced pretty far
apart. Each site had a picnic table, electric hookup, bbq grill but
they were only about 20 ft. apart. :-( I wouldn't enjoy that at all.

Back in our camping days we would just pull into a campsite and ask
for a tent site or an electric hookup for our popup. News this
morning said everyone now is taking reservations and a lot of the
popular places are almost all filled up already!

Jim Everman...
I missed you.. nice pictures!
