I did. And then I secretly went to dictionary.com

Although I know what a dodec is, I still went to dictionary.com. Because
AFAIK, a dodec has to be made of pentagons. Turns out, the definition is
that a dodecahedron is a finite region in space enclosed by 12 planes.
So, if you concede that the interior of the glitterball is 'enclosed',
then it is indeed a dodecahedron.
