**Dalin**...
Sad to see an old homestead being torn down. You wonder about the
history behind it. The face showed up very well, looks sad and tired.

Around here that homestead would have been gone a long time ago,
picked clean by people who sell old barnwood. It's real popular here
to panel a wall with it, the older and sun bleached and warped with
knot holes the better.

Sue...
There are so many old homestead barns and houses in this area that are in
the same condition as JD's picture. It always makes me sad to see them.

Jean B....
Makes me sad up here too, although we don't see too much of
that here (thank goodness).

And people don't take the wood? Are they all abandoned? We saw homes
in western VA that looked like that and people were living in them. I
always wondered about abandoned farms etc because someone must own the
land.

Sue...
I don't know, Dalin. I do know that most of the structures are not near the
road, but rather in the middle of a large "pasture?"

Jeanette.. since you cannot see the face, I will post a close up it
tonight. OK?
