So there was a black bug on the inside of my door.
So I squished it flat with the back of a small pad.
So it was a fire fly:-(( How do I know?
The squish glowed, both the part on the pad and the part on the door.
So I felt bad. Fire flies are fun - outside.
And they are _not_ mosquitoes with flashlights.

Aww, sorry. The good news is that where there was one, there can be
more. So get a jar, poke some holes in the lid, and go be a kid for a
while. :-)

I stood in the middle of my street last night and watched the fireflies
blinking at me.
What, you ask, was she doing in the middle of a busy street?
Well, 'taint busy. It's only about 250 feet long with 8 condo units.
Because of the trees blocking my end view from windows, I had to stand
in the street to watch the next town over celebrate it's "Old Home
Days" with a beautiful fireworks display. That display almost took
second place to the natural one flitting about.

I love to watch the fireflies, they've just put their appearance in here.
My grandchildren will be here from Maryland in another couple of weeks.
They're going to love going out firefly hunting!!

That's what I have a local grand daughter for:-))

My grandkids had never seen fireflies, so while my daughters were here
we did just that. We sent one jar to Portland and one to L.A. They took
them back on the plane and I have received the word that the fireflies
made the trip just fine. Turns out a couple of husbands had never seen
them either. :-)

I've never seen one either.
How was the roller coaster?

That's lucky. If you didn't have her, you might be reduced to renting a
kid to be a kid with. :-)
