Bette...
Today was the third day that after a crystal clear a.m. clouds begin to
form and late afternoon brings lightening and thunder,no rain. We have

We'll be glad for you to report you are home safe and sound.

several fires going mostly in the hills, One of the bigger ones has
been going a couple of days...no wind to speak of in the a.m. But at
the peak of the storm situation, very strong winds blow.
I saw a small aircraft headed North, it's engine started a funny sound
and it veered East to go out to Stead..it was still flying the last I
saw of it, and engine sounded better. But within a few minutes heavy
brown smoke over in the Stead area, and fire equipment sirens . I sure
hope it was not a crash. I am waiting for the 5 o"clock news... Looking
toward town other hills have a lot of smoke. The storms may be headed
East toward M.J. ...hope not.

Yep, it's coming our way. Possible thunderstorms w/lightening forecast for
the next three days. I hate that because we have a lot of intersections that
become impassable. They always tell you not to go through them if there's
rushing water but when you are on a divided street with cement whatever you
call them in the middle exactly how you turn around especially if you can't
back up or change lanes because of other cars which are mostly SUV's much
bigger than yours.

Another few days of this , they say... we're awfully dry, un-believable
clouds, not a drop of rain reaching the ground. The lightening is more
dangerous for us then. Wish the East Coast could send some rain our
way.. they sure have more than they need. Take care, Bette
