Yes, they do. The one I was watching earlier was pacing around and around
the enclosure, or at least the part you could see.

I wonder what percentage of the time they spend eating? It
seems to be quite a lot. I wonder whether that is how they
act in their native habitat?

Considering that such a large animal eats only vegetable matter, I
suspect they spend most of their waking hours eating.
