I stopped by a thrift store on my way home for tests and x-rays
yesterday. They had a load of monitors for $10.99 each. I found the exact brand and model that I have in storage. This is the Stanford Home Thrift Store. The Stanford Home is my primary place that I donate to. It is a home for children. The man told me that they just purchased all new computers for the Stanford Home. They went through all of the equipment and refurbished them like new. They had complete computers there for very little money. I was also able to find a beautiful solid wood computer desk for $30.00. He even oferred to through any chair of my choice at no additional price. I thanked him, but I have chairs that I can get to in my storage. I would rather see them sell the chair for $20.00 plus for the children. They don't charge tax since it is a nonprofit organization. He told me to forget the 99cents and asked for $40.00 for both items. This was perfect timing. My friend's new laptop has been recalled because of the batteries causing fires. She is sending it back to Dell today. I will be very happy to get back to my own computer. Anyone need a computer with all the extras? (G) Arlin "-) arneeeee417...
