some of you know that I recently had an operation [arthroscopy] on my
knee, to sort out some arthritic damage. this has, so far been a success,
with only the odd twinge.

Are you still having pain as a result of the incident?
|
went shopping with Lady Wife today and used a different branch of her usual
supermarket. she left me at this particular shelf, getting a selection of
potatoes. I took the amount wanted, turned to my left and moved my right
leg as the first move in stepping forward [as you do when walking !]
I thought someone had kicked me. my knee collided with a projection from
the shelving, the corner angle, and the corner hit me right on the newly
healed scar left by the operation.

OMG, just reading that made me twitch my leg.
Is there any permanent damage?
Chak, hoping you are and will be okay
|
Ooooooooooooh, it did make my eyes water at the time, and the leg is
throbbing at the moment.
when the manager came it was found that two lengths of frame work forming
the length of shelving which should have been end to end were no longer.
one had been pushed back, leaving the other standing proud about 3 inches

Ouch!! This brought a tear to my eye!
Hope the pain goes away with no lasting damage.

Oh Gruffydd, I hope there was no serious damage to your knee. And I
hope the manager at least gave you a chit for some free groceries to
make up for it. :-)

What did the manager do?
Call your doctor and let him know what happened?

Ouch! Just reading about that made me wince. I hope the manager fixes
that, and checks the rest of the shelving to make sure there isn't a similar
problem somewhere else.
