Do I remember? Be sure. You mean the "Oh yes, I'm the great pretender",
and those things?

Wow! Great! get the crackers and beer......

All those lovely songs sure gave me nostalgia.
"Only You, Smoke gets in your eyes, The Great Pretender,
Twilight Time, Harbour Lights, Red Sails in the Sunset,
and many more. One of my old time favourites "Unchained Melody"
is also on there - Remember "Ghost" the movie with Patrick Swayze
and Demi Moore?

And just to make you all envious - I have the Mills Brothers on
vinyl - "Cab Driver" and the other album "Paper Doll" and
"Sweet Lelani"

More beer anyone? So take off your shoes, relax and enjoy it
with me......

Jean B....
Oh yes, I can conjure up the melodies for most of those!

mj...
Got my shoes off and ready to enjoy it with you.

Sue...
One of our favorite groups. I saw them at the Michigan State Fair.
Do you remember The Four Lads
(No Not Much, Istanbul,
Moments to Remember? (1955....Stan just said...Could there be a better year
to graduate from high school?)
Anyway, we went to see them about 20 years ago while they were doing the
Holiday Inn circuit. The music was the same....but oh my! The faces sure
looked different. they were o*d!

Divine Diva...
Ah the Mills Brothers! My dh had never heard of them (he's only 57) no
excuse, I know, but his folks didn't have music playing in the house very
much.
One night a few years ago, the was a TV show and a song
was playing and I was singing along with it.He loved the song and asked me
what it was and I told him it was "Till Then" by the Mills Bros.He wanted to
know how I knew that. Told him about growing up in a house full of Aunts and
Uncles and that my Grandparents used to dance around the house when a
favorite song came on. "But your only a year and a half older than I am and
I have never heard of them." Told him that maybe he had a deprived childhood
and it wasn't too late to learn. He has since bought the CD and has just
discovered Glenn Miller. (!!!) Poor thing, I do feel sorry for him. But he
has to ask before he takes one of my CD's, tapes or records of any of the
oldies!! Bless his heart.

Paco...
Diva, it works the other way too. I don't know any of today's music,
movies, rap, etc stars. That's because I am not into any of it. The
celebrity gossip section of the newspaper is of half interest to me
since I will be 50 soon. Anyone younger than me, I don't know! LOL

Hugette.Lespine...
I remember too. Good memories. Huguette
