Paco..,...
Got some good peaches at the supermarket. Juicy, big, sweet. I didn't
notice if they were from Georgia or California but congrats to the
state which produced them!

Arch (TX)...
Yes, I have noticed some beauties in the store lately and also very
expensive. I doubt that the growers get much of a cut.

Jean B....
I spent $1.50 on ONE peach yesterday, and it wasn't even organic!

Chakolate...
Does anybody know how to tell whether a peach is freestone or cling?
(Not that I can afford them right now.)

Jean B....
I assume you mean before you consume them? Other than
signs, no....

Chakolate...
Sigh. Every time I ask the produce clerk, I get this blank look...

Jean B....
Well, you could probably tell from varieties, but then peaches
usually are not labeled that way. I wonder why they aren't,
and apples are? Maybe it's because apples are so obviously
different, depending on the type they are.

Paco...
I can tell a good peach by the sweet smell. I smell all the produce,
before I buy it.

Jean B....
I have learned one thing (about buying peaches)--don't buy
them unless they are either ripe or well on their way to being
ripe....
