This is what someone on a guru board told me.
Cell phones uses 850-1900MHZ frequency while wireless AP uses 2GHz, it
should not interfere.

thanks, jerry, that sorta confirms what jimE was saying. if i read this
properly, a 2.4 ghz phone is closer to the 2ghz that wireless uses, while
900mhz phones do not. am i interpreting that correctly? thanks,
Jim Everman...

not really, jim. it may have been obvious to you, but i am not good when
it comes to hardware or electronics. in my original post, my assumption
was that any wireless router and any cordless phone were susceptible to
problems. however, after your post on the virtues of 900 mhz and jerry's
post on his router being 2.4 ghz, i now see that the problem is that i
bought a 2.4 ghz phone. that wasn't obvious to me at first. however, i
think joan posted that she uses a 2.4 ghz phone, so either it's a fluke
or possibly her wireless router is on a different frequency (?) thanks
for your help in my understanding this.

Eh? All I said was that I had heard there *might* be an interference
problem with the 2.5 ghz and elected to go with the 900 mhz spread
spectrum wireless phone. And there is no interference. I wouldn't expect
any. I didn't think cell phones were even being considered. You were
talking about plain old wireless phones, weren't you?
