Have brought home the *Stanley Cup*....

Couldn't help but think about Dean Shafer when I heard the news this
morning. He would be beaming at the news. Anyone remember seeing his
picture, in his wheelchair, holding the Stanley Cup?
That was such a thrill for him, even though his Hurricanes finally lost to
the Red Wings.

I saw the picture and I am sure that he was grinning last night just as hard
as we were... ;o}

Maybe he was the reason that we won...Maybe they had a Dean Shafer guardian
angel looking after them?

When I saw that this morning I thought of Dean Shaffer. Remember his
excitement when he got to hold it?

I have not heard from Sylvia in a while...I think I will call her later on
and see how she is doing.

They said it weighs 35 pounds and those guys were holding it high over their
heads like it was a feather.

They are having a parade tonight at 6:30PM and a press conference following
that.

My son and grandson are going to go, just so they can get a peek at both the
*Prince of Wales* trophy and the *Stanley Cup*...

It sounds like a whole lot of fun. :-) Who will be in the parade? I
imagine the whole town will want to be. :-)
