Stan...
don, sorry I didn't respond right away. I was a police officer in the
Detroit area(River Rouge) for 3 years. I did graduate from the Detroit
Police Academy in 1959. It was a different time. I have some stories if
you're interested. It surprised me that some people on our group were really
interested and also in The Story of Sue and Stan. Watch for it.

I hope you're feeling well. Isn't this a great group? I feel that you
enjoy it as well as I.

Stan :)

Goromoff...
Stan, if you will allow me to chip in - people are always interested in
stories. This is one of man's oldest 'things', telling yarns. Takes us back
to the days when the tribe sat around the camp fire of an evening, regaling
each other with stories, some true, some invented!

Keep 'em coming mate!

Oh, and I agree - it's a great mob here, innit?

Joy...
I agree with everything Goro says here, Stan. And you and Goro are two of
the best storytellers in the group.

Norma...
You're right, this is an exceptional group of camp fire sitters with
an astonishing array of laughable, lovable, thought-provoking tales to
tell.

david...
well said, norma. the people here tell such delicious little escapades of
life... i enjoy them all... and i especially like your analogy to camp fire
sitters... the image of a crackling fire, marshmallows, good conversation,
laughter, and a few wild tales to tell... this NG is a special place... if
there's a boring person on this NG, I have yet to meet them... i also relish
the variety... some tell belly-whoppers and make us laugh, some tell 'how-
tos' of gardening and cooking and whatall, some share insight on the human
condition, some share political attitudes and, while we don't like a lot of
that, it's still refreshing... and, of course, we have our share of geeks to
keep us apprised of things we really don't care about... :)

name me any member and I can write a paragraph on their strengths....
... yes, that even applies to our Texan friends... :)
