Again,David is a guinea pig but he doesn't care. The time has come, within
the next 2 months,to change the batteries in his neurotransmitter. Much to
our delight,we found out the batteries are not on the brain. They are under
the skin of the skull. It takes just a few snips to open the skin, reinsert
the new batteries then stitch it up with a few dissolvable stitches. We
thought he would have to have another craniotomy and how we all dreaded it.
But not only did we get THAT good news,we found out it's outpatient!!!!! We
are all so relieved because I dreaded another complicated brain surgery.
SO,he's only in one day an he gets to come home.
Did I mention I love the Mayo Clinic? And how proud we are of David who
volunteered to go first! God has been so good to him,to all of us!

That is just wonderful news, Janie. Now keep things looking
up down there, you hear?

Can't blame you for being so relieved. I would be jumping up and down but
for you I'd rather you didn't do that. :-)

What a relief for everyone, Janie. :-) How often do the batteries
need changing?
