It's been quite a while. Shadow wants to know if you need more bags?
It's no problem to send a bunch more. :-)

Are you sure it's no trouble?? Seems like such an imposition. She is getting
low as the one I just cut and put down for her a couple of days ago was
ruined yesterday. Poor Cool Whip. Sometime while we were all home she
injured herself. Obviously she didn't yell or someone would have heard her.
Her scratching post has gotten very worn and we've been meaning to get a new
one but just one of the things we haven't gotten around to. Well, she caught
her nail in it leaving part of it and some skin in the post. The post is on
the stairs landing by the coat closet door. The wall and the door had blood
splatters on it. She must have run part way up the stairs still shaking it
because a lot of blood splatter was on the walls on both sides and drops on
the stairs. (Looked like we had done away with someone.) There was no blood
on the carpet from the stairs to her bag but her bag had a lot on it. Maybe
she was on the bag trying to get a hanging piece off which started the
bleeding all over. You can't imagine how bad, Allison, Sally and I felt that
none of us were aware what Cool Whip was going through. At least there were
three of us to share the cleaning up.

Cat and dog claws bleed copiously if they are broken. Unless CoolWhip
complains, though, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just keep an eye
on it for infections.

Poor baby! I hope she isn't hurting too much. Poor you guys, too. It
feels so terrible when a pet gets hurt. It is so easy to blame ourselves
for something, and no way to undo it.

We couldn't get over the fact that she didn't make a sound. All of us right
here and none of us there to comfort or help her.

It's no problem at all. :-) All Shadow does is go in the store and
bat those three inch long eyelashes and ask for bags. Give me a
couple days to get to the post office. And next time just holler,
don't wait for me to ask, ok?
Poor little Cool Whip. Is she going to be ok? I hope she didn't pull
the whole nail out and her paw heals. Vets are so expensive!
We had to take Shadow to the vet today. She was very lethargic,
didn't want to play, but paced a lot and then began to shiver. I
called at 2 and got an appt. for 5. They called it an emergency and
said it would be a $75 fee! I complained when we got there and the
vet just charged $39. However, Shadow decided to do some business
while waiting so they decided to do a stool analysis for $14.50. She
just had one two months ago. Anyway the vet said Shadow appeared to
be fine but she though that Shadow had swallowed a small rock while
out walking or a piece of something in the house and her tummy was a
little distended and showing pain when the vet pressed it. She thinks
Shadow will pass whatever it is and I have some pain medicine for her
and need to call the vet tomorrow.

We had a gravel driveway and one of our Labs used to like to pick up
stones, toss them into the air and catch them. Of course, the
occasional stone went down his throat but always, very considerately,
he coughed them up onto the kitchen floor. They came out as smooth as
if they and been in gem polishing tumbler.

Ohhh they must have been in his tummy for a bit for them to come out
so smooth. Wonder why they didn't come out ... uh... well you know.

Maybe some did. Trust me, I never checked. :)
