Stan and I went to Young Harris College to this annual charity concert.
This was our first time.
Now....Music of the Mountains?
What would you expect? Huh?
First out on stage was a darling 3 year old boy....and his fiddle. (Uh...you
do know the difference between a fiddle and a violin, doncha? ) He stood

Same here--that based on friend who played the violin in a

still through all of his music selections. And not a note out of tune as
far as I could tell. Boy...were we in for a show!
Next came the headliners....3 R 1.
A religious rock band. Uh....Music of the Mountains? These guys had all
the rock trimmings.....smoke...electric guitars, strobe lites, those fancy
fan driven things...that Stan said looked like giant blue condoms.
Now....I have nothing against contemporary religious bands. I think they
probably pull in the youngin's, but this crowd was mostly our age. And not a
banjo in sight.
Next came the intermission and a CD by Alan Jackson (Precious Memories) that
had all the old timey gospel/hymns.
Then back to the religious bands.
Not what we expected and sure not worth (to us) the $20 we paid. Alan
Jackson's CD was the best part. LOL
Uh...we left early.
