Stan thought it was Jim's revenge....and he was laughing at all of us
and the language we were using. LOL
Sue....in Florida...using web-search. EEEEK!

**Dalin**...
If you read his instructions looks like he had a few problems himself.

How's that ball coming? And how is the babysitting? Using web-search
will make you want to pull your hair out.

I'll tell you someting to make you feel better. It went down to 30
overnight and now it is pouring down rain. And there you are in sunny
Florida. :-)

Joy...
I finished mine, but I need to get somebody to help me hang it. I'd have to
climb up on something to hang it where I want to, and I'm afraid of heights.
I put it on the blog two hours ago and it still hasn't come up so

I just can't capture the blinding colors that this ball is showing in
the garden. Camera just won't do it, but believe me, the colors are
beautiful, all colors of the rainbow.

I now have it hanging on the corner of the deck just outside my
kitchen window and it is flashing brilliant colors all around my
kitchen. A lovely reminder of Jim each time it flashes.

Sue...
I finished mine, also. (Uh...Stan has) It is hanging from the front porch,
outside my living room window. I can see it from my computer desk. But, I
went to take a picture and the batteries were low in my camera. And besides
the sun is at the back of the house now. I will take a picture tomorrow.

Butterkup...
We finished the ball. Hung it up before we left Georgia.
I hate web-search. And I wanted to download x news, but I have strict
instructions not to download ANYTHING on my son's computer. So I will
guess this is it. And Stan refuses to use web-search. I tried to show him
how and he just said......forget it. I will wait till I get back home.
It's been raining in Georgia since we left. My son called and said it
had been pouring since Sunday and also wind at about 35 mph.
And guess what? It's sunny here. But.....hot, hot, hot.

Jean B....
Well, I am glad you are persisting with web-search, but I know
what you mean. So, which is better: rain or heat?

**Dalin**...
When are you coming home? It was raining here for the past couple of
days with high winds, but today is supposed to be sunny and up to 64
so I bet it will be a beautiful day in your mountains. Ah yes, I
looked it up, "observed at Brasstown Bald Valley, temp 81 today,
partly cloudy" Too hot for me!

NOspam...
You did a great job, Dalin :o) KUDOS!

**Dalin**...
Hanging can be a problem. I want to make another because I think I
can do even better. I have CDs now with clear centers and shiny
insides too but I don't have a place to hang it in the front at all
since my tree was taken down. I love the one in the back as it
colors my kitchen. I want to put one in the front too.

Maybe when you have your house painted the painter could hang it for
you. :-)
Both photos are on the blog now.
Great! I'd love to see it. It's frustrating that I can't get the
colors to show, maybe you will have better luck. :-)

Dalin

Joy...
Yes, maybe so. I got my gardener to do it for me this afternoon. It's on
the front of the house, outside my dining room window. My son had put nails
in the eaves to hang my Christmas lights, so we just used one of those.
Tomorrow I'll take a picture.

**Dalin**...
Will it catch the sun there? My computer faces mine and sometimes I
get a blinding flash in my eyes. I always say "Hi Jim" :-)

Dalin

Joy...
Yes, it's on the south side of the house, so it gets sun most of the day.
If I hung it outside the window of my computer room, it would never get the
sun. I think they're pretty even when the sun doesn't hit them, but
naturally, they're best when it does. I hope to get pictures up later
today.

**Dalin**...
Mine fell down today. It's been so windy I guess the rubberband
worked right through the glue. So at a point where two of them come
together David drilled a small hole in each side to hold twine.
Should last all winter now. :-) Looking forward to your pictures.
:-)

Dalin

Joy...
That's too bad it fell down. I used some nylon cord they used to use to tie
my newspapers before they switched to rubber bands. I tied it into a loop
and used it the same way you use the rubber band.

I put a couple of photos on the blog.

**Dalin**...
Nice job Joy! It looks really nice. :-) It's really windy on the
side of the house where I have it. I think it will be ok now with the
two small holes drilled in it. I have it tied now with heavy twine,
but think I will look for something else that doesn't show so much.
Nylon cord is a good idea, they probably sell spools of it in the
hardware store. Or fishing line.
