Just in, for those of us who are on beta blockers:

A study has shown that ACE inhibitors and angiotensin receptor
blockers prevent people from getting diabetes, while the older
diuretics or beta-blockers increase the chance that a person
will become diabetic. :-(

I just today got a letter from my Insurance Co. asking me to mention this to
my Doctor. I'm on Actos now. They feel ACE might help.

ACE inhibitors have been shown to have a protective effect on kidney
function for diabetics. It doesn't help you control your sugar, just
helps keep the kidneys going.

Interesting. I wonder what MY dr. will do? I don't see him
until April.... Too bad, because I do have a problem with
adrenalin.
