Should I be worried?

Goromoff...
I finally got to see the nurse today, who found my blood pressure to be high
again. That makes three high readings and I have to go back in a fortnight
(if I remember).

Should I be worried?

Sue...
Did you sit for a while before she took your BP. I always tell the nurse
to not take if for about 5 minutes after I sit down as it is always high.
When she waits a few minutes, it is closer to normal.

Joy...
How high is it?

Goromoff...
don't know, Joy. I'm sure, (at least I think I'm sure), I heard her say the
number '80' but my hearing is wonky at the moment.

Anyway, she wasn't panicking, but she did say that if it was high again at the
next reading then I would be given a good firtling to see what is what.

Jean B....
Well, assuming your nos are the same, normal is <120/<80. I
just went on meds 3 months ago for that....

Goromoff...
thank you ladies all, much reassuring and informative, As I said, it will
be checked again, and if the trend is confirmed, then I shall see the doc
for treatment.

Tell you what though, Dalin has set me to worrying!

Joy...
I don't know. I suspect she does, because she's been under stress almost
non-stop for the past several months. At any rate, she is convinced she
doesn't have high blood pressure, and she has convinced the doctor. I'm not
so sure, especially since I don't have a lot of faith in her doctor, but my
sister is at least as stubborn as I am, so there's no point in my adding to
her stress by bugging her about it.

**Dalin**...
I agree Joy there is no sense in bugging her about it as she is an
adult. And yet, I understand your worry as she is your sister and you
love her. It's a hard path to walk when you want to help someone you
love who doesn't want to be helped or might be in denial. Let's hope
her doctor is better than you think.

Excuse me, but isn't the thing suppose to keep on beating, without taking
any time off?

And yes, the mention of laughter has me worried too!
