I met his brother yesterday evening. I also met Abraham Lincoln. Actually,
they were both the same person. I was Toastmaster (MC) for a Toastmasters
meeting last night. I had been told that one of our speakers would be
Abraham Lincoln. Sure enough, in walked Mr. Lincoln, beard, top hat, warts
and all. He gave a very stirring rendition of one of Lincoln's speeches,
followed by a brief biography of Lincoln and concluded with the Gettysburg
Address.
His real name is Lawrence Paulsen, and Pat Paulsen was his brother.

I remember Pat Paulsen very well. The Smothers Brothers Show was on when I
was in high school, and he was one of my favorite performers.

Yes, I loved that show, and particularly liked him, too. It was fun when he

ran for President. I was saddened when his brother said that Pat died about
six years ago. I don't remember hearing about it at the time.

I assumed he had died but don't recall hearing about it but sure it did make
the news.

I remember him, Joy. Not aware he had a brother that went around be Lincoln
though. Sounds like an interesting evening.

No, I didn't know about the brother either. It was interesting. He sat
next to me at dinner, so we had a chance to talk a little.

all like his brother but then remembered he was kind-of disguised.

Yes, with the beard, it's pretty hard to tell. Also, it's been a few
decades since I saw Pat, so I don't have a really clear picture in my mind
of how he looked. I remember he was tall and lean, and so is his brother.
