At breakfast this morning Dear little Alexis said, " Grammie, it is a
shame you live alone, no husband, no kids, all by yourself" .
I smiled at her, and said, "My husband died, all my kids are grown..(
one's your daddy) , I still see them, but they have their own homes,
and family, etc. Plus I have you a lot of the time.
She still insisted that I was alone in the house. ( one sharp little
cookie)
Now, re: my question... dare I go to Eharmony . com ? or ????

the fact that you're considering it is a signal to do it. you would have
fun, just possibly meeting new people. as your mom may have said, "you
don't have to kiss him on the first date..." .. but if you're feeling
lonely, i'm sure there are many men who would love to be your occasional
escort, whether that ever becomes romantic or not... :)

you could always meet at some public place for lunch... i'm sure all your
'girl teachings...' would come back quickly... :)

there sure is lonesomness attached to widowhood.. be fun to have
someone to share many things with. etc. Oh well, I'll think it over

Evenings are the worst time for me. :)
You might want to check out the local senior citizen center. I have
made new friends by going to tai chi class once a week. There are two
centers near me. I only go to one but the other has card games, bingo,
etc and they both offer "field" trips.

Hi Bette

All that I know is that I was 59 and Judy was 58 when we got married.
That was over five years ago and I am happier now than I have ever
been. I think most everyone needs somebody if for no other reason
than just to maybe share the trials, tribulations, and victories of
the day.
