So. Calif. today

Hi, I got here fine, Light to moderate Santa Ana winds kicked in
today.. Can see very heavy smoke from one of the fires near Santa
Paula. Aircraft had not been able to help because of the winds, but i
think are now able to. The big aircraft that can dump loads won't come
from Canada until Oct. 1.. so no help from them.
Thanks to all for wishing me a safe trip and a happy time. Went
furniture shopping today with my Daughter and SIL. Take care will try

I'm glad you got there (here ) okay, Bette. The wind seems to be blowing
the smoke in the other direction. I can see it, but most of the sky is
blue. A couple of days ago, there was very little blue - the smoke filled
the sky. I wish the blue sky meant the fire was under control, but I know
the wind is probably making it worse. :-(

Glad you arrived safe & sound in our state of CA...we,too, in northern CA
are having our share of fires in Napa County....w/hopes it is being
contained soon...enjoy your stay...

Yes, I found word of your fire when I was looking to see how far ours had
spread. I hope something happens so they're both out soon.
