U.S. Population

I heard this on the radio.
one person is born every eight seconds.
one person dies every 12 seconds.
one immigrant becomes a U.S. citizen every 32 seconds.
Sometime this October the U.S. Population will reach 300,000,000 people.
That will make us the third most populated country in the World behind China
and India.
Of course it will be guessing, but that 300 millionth person will be
showered with all kinds of gifts and goodies.
I thought this was kind of different information so I passed it on.
Maybe now is the time to buy some land in the wide open spaces before it is
filled.

We have a lot of immigrants in this city and most speak perfect English.
There are some who can't speak a word though.
I don't speak English too well, but my Grandson is going to take German and
Spanish as his school days go on. The problem with German is no one speaks
it but there is a lot of Spanish folks and I told him it would be better to
take Spanish as that is the world he will be living in. He wants German as
it is his genealogical heritage. In other words, he is a little "Kraut":-))
