Our wedding picture

Getting the lighting correct is the very hardest thing to do when
copying photos this way. In my opinion, it is worthwhile to get a tripod
and learn how to use the 'self timer' feature on your camera. I think
that taking the pictures outside on a bright but cloudy day is the best
light. Inside, just turn the flash off and let the camera adjust by
increasing the exposure. The tripod and self release will avoid any
blurs from camera movement. If you are really picky, use the max
telephoto (optical, not digital) setting. This gives a 'better' depth of
field and a flatter picture.

A tripod may cost more than the camera did. I have a little
tabletop tripod. But really, for hanging on a wall in a dark hallway
I thought the picture came out just fine. You can only do so much
with a $150 camera anyway.

Jake's picture of his daughter's wedding reminded me that some time
ago someone (Jean?) asked for ours. I finally took a digital picture
and it's on the blog.

Mine is in my cedar chest, which has all sorts of things piled on it. My
kids are coming over on Sunday. I'll try to get them to help me get it open
so I can look for it. Then I'll see how good a copy I can make with my
digital camera.

Dan and I were married with just our Minister and my sister/her husband
stood up with us..
I only have one very old poloroid snapshot and that was eating a piece of
cake...I am not sure what to do with such a small picture...

Sounds like us. The first few old albums are nice and orderly, then
as the years passed we just started putting pictures in as we took
them, so hard to find a particular vacation picture or family event.

I think so too, I love looking at them. You had such a beautiful
dress Huguette. Do you still have it? I saved mine for years, but my
dil could never have fit into it so finally I gave it to a charity
organization.
