Marilee...
The last of my kids left yesterday and arrived at their own homes safely.
Luckily, the flights were eastward rather than towards Denver, and they were
pretty much on time. (One flight to Minneapolis was delayed 15 minutes or
so--nothing like what happened to my daughyter from New Jersey on her way
home last Friday.)

I get to go to work to rest today, and have an entire 3 day weekend to put
the house back the way Jim and I like it when it's just the two of us. And
play computer games.

I was AFK for most of this past week; I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
I don't know how many messages I'll ending up marking "read".

**Lin**...
I'm glad all your kids got home safely. :-) Seems like I just put up
the decorations and now it's time to take them all down. Maybe I'll
just leave everything until spring!

Norma...
The first year we lived in Vermont I was surprised to see Christmas
wreaths on doors and in windows until spring. One of our neighbors had
a wreath in the picuture window one year long after it turned brown. I
will remove the decorations New Year's day. That doesn't mean they
will be put away, just taken down. Efficient, I ain't. LOL
Norma

Jean B....
Hehe. Well, my schedule will be dictated by when the town is
picking up the trees. Probably Tuesday for that matter. I'd
better look. Otherwise it will be sitting here, and the
neighbors will be hacked off.

Marilee...

Jean B....
Pshew. R+R is good....
I took ours down the day after Christmas. Our grandson kept offering to
remove the decorations, and I got tired of moving them higher. (He's 16
months old, so it's excusable.)

Marilee

Jean B....
LOL! First I thought that was a legitimate offer--and that

Paco....
Christmas IS over. Target was empty today!

Jean B....
I made the mistake of driving up toward the mall and got
caught in a huge traffic jam. I decided to abort that mission
and looped away from that route at the first possible moment.
Ugh.

Joy...
My Target was empty Wednesday.

you were lucky. I think I may start taking down the ornaments

Sue...
I did that one year. I had a little artificial tree. I took off the
christmas stuff and added valentine decorations, and Spring stuff, then
Easter stuff....and then I grew tired of it.

dae...
Sue,

Well, you two come up anytime. Just call me and I'll show you the way. Oh,
have a full tank of gas in your vehicle. I do live out in the boonies (not
really, my town is in the boonies:-), but I guarantee you will be able to
get here and out.

Don and his Devil

**Lin**...
That's a cute idea! But I think I'll just leave the wreath on the
front door. And I'll probably take off the big red bow than hangs
down to the bottom of the door. Then it will be a winter wreath
instead of a Christmas wreath. And maybe the candles in the windows.
They turn off and on by themselves.

on the back side of the tree, which Leah won't even notice. :-)

Joy...
I'm having a game-playing party (if anybody comes) on New Years Eve, so I
have an excuse to leave my decorations up until then. My daughter is having
an open house on New Years Day, and naturally I have to go to that, so I
can't take them down then either. Tuesday I think I'll have run out of
excuses.

Of course my outdoor lights will stay up until my son gets around to coming
to take them down, but I'll stop turning them on after New Years.

Chakolate...
Oh, I think that's a shame. I like seeing the lights on the outsides of
houses, it looks quite festive. Houses have greenery in summer, but they
need a little extra help in winter.
