I am rather new to genealogy and family history. However, being a
network administrator and consultant on the side, I figured the best
place to start would be the internet.

I have a book that was dictated to another family member by my
Grandmother that gives me quite a bit of info. I am kind of stuck,
though. I am on a quest to prove or disprove Indian heritage and build
a legacy for my children, as no one else in my extended family is
really interested in this, and I am an only child. I feel that if I
don't do this, then my family history will definitely be lost.

I am having trouble finding info on the wife of a relative. If you can
shed any light on this, I would be very grateful to you.

I would like to get anything I can find on a Clarinda Catherine
McHenry. She was born about 1844 somewhere in Tennessee, and her
father's name was Robert McHenry, who married a Martha. That is all
the ancestor information that I have.

She and her husband, George Washtington Summer, had 10 children, 7
sons, and 3 daughters. I would be happy to provide further details on
them if necessary, however I can only find info on 7 of the 10 children
online, and there is some mention in some family papers about one of
the sons.

Again, any info and help given would be greatly appreciated!

In the 1880 census Clarinda is listed as Clarrenda Summers, along with
husband Geo.W. Summers, 4 sons, 1 daughter and sister Lovina McHenry.
