I just noticed something in my genealogy report--I rarely print out the
current generation so I just haven't noticed it before and wanted to
see if any of you can tell me what's going on.
When I print out the genealogy report for me and my children and their
children, the 1st generation, of course, is me with my children listed.
But, in the second generation my daughter isn't listed, only my two
sons. Is it because she doesn't have any children? Otherwise, what
would be the reason for that? Is there any way that I can get her
listed on the 2nd generation.
thanks for your help.

From working with the GEDCom it was revealed that if your children do
not have children of their own (I.E. another generation) then there
will only be one generation, yours.

I just played around with mine, checking myself (I've got two unmarried
children) and then checking with one of my cousins, who has a grandchild
through one child, and his other child has no children.
On the genealogy report using myself, there is no 2nd generation shown,
even though my sons do appear on the report as my children.
On the report using my cousin, he has both of his children showing, but
only his daughter (the one with the baby) is shown under 2nd generation.
I looked through the help section for genealogy reports, but couldn't
find anything that explains why a child is not shown as a separate
generation until he or she has a child of their own. In short, it's not
an error in your program, but the way that FTM has the genealogy report
set up (for whatever reason).
Hope that helps,

Well, ummm, does this work out if you think of your children as your 1st
generation descendants?
IOW, you are Generation 0, your kids are generation 1, your grandkids
generation 2....
Your daughter IS in the list of your children, isn't she? If not,
that's a whole different kettle of worms.
