collection for free during November. There's a the link at the bottom of
this page:

David J Grimshaw...
Hi everyone,
What Barbara has not told everyone is to view these records one must

myths...
I agree with Anne. I was able to get index results without logging
in. I needed to log in to see an image, and I used the registration
initially set up so that I could post to ancestry's surname boards -
no credit card details required or given.

give their e-mail address and credit card number, this is the usual case
of having to give Ancestry.com your credit card number, so this offer
comes with fish hooks.
Again Ancestry.com is up to it's entrapment capers so beware.
If you take this offer up and do not cancel before the end of the free
period Ancestry.com will bill you so beware, you have been warned.

Hope this helps stop some falling into the trap.

ck183...
I just had to give my name, and I gave them my junk mail Hotmail address.

Joe Pessarra...
Thank you David. I was just getting ready to send a note to our local
genealogy group about this.

What "trap"?

Ancestry warns you up front that if you don't cancel withing the
alloted time they will bill you.

If a person avails themself of this free trial without reading all the
details it is their own fault if they incur an charge- not Ancestry's.

All this BS about protecting people from their own decisions is absurd.
