Don Morrison...
I am looking for the marriage of Frederick Mischler and Marie Winkler
from Switzerland.
Is there some sites on the Internet where you can look up entries from
Switzerland?
Thanks for anybody's input.
Don

Alida Spry...
Don,

Do you have any other info? Dates of birth? Places of birth? Marriage
date or even just the year? Children's names etc. Did Frederick and Marie
come to the US or remain in Switzerland?

I'll look them up for you if you post some more details.

Alida Spry...
I see from you email addres that you're in Canada. Did Frederick and Marie
settle there? You need to start with what you know (your parents, their
parents etc.) and work backwards.

I'll be online for awhile so just email whatever else you know and I'll get
started.

Allen...
My starting point for anything new to me is Cyndi's List
about Switzerland. But (great big but)--it certainly helps to something
more than names--approximate dates, approximate area, etc.

Many of the Swiss people who came here were members of what is now
called the Moravian church, founded by Jan Hus and his followers. If
your ancestors were among those, you may be in luck, as the Moravian
Church were extreme recordkeepers; most came to the New World via Alsace
in the early 18th century. Good luck!
