What are some good songs for a boozy group in a pub?
Easy to learn and sing...

Bill Marcum...
Or "I Like Beer" by Tom T. Hall

I like beer, it makes me a jolly good fellow
I like beer, it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow
(Makes him feel mellow)
Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much
and vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain
As a matter of fact, I like beer

mark-t2...
Yeah, I remember that one! Sort of... the first two lines anyway...
and not the melody - where can I download it?

I dunno about your taste, Jon... I like those old Simon & Garfunkel
songs, but they're a little wimpy for pub revelry... also "Hey Jude"
and "Knock three times"... though "Comin round the mountain"
has the nice airhead quality we want...

As for "Moonshadow" - gah, pass the Pepto Bismol!

Don't know the others... where can I find chords, or downloads?

I should stop now :-)

jon...
Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport
Two Little Boys
Jake the Peg
Waltzing Mathilda
Streets of London
American Pie
Don't Take Your Love to town
Wild Rover

mark-t2...
Thank heaven...

Anything but "99 bottles of beer"

Also need chords...

tarper...
... because after 10 of these 99 bottles there's no difference b'tween 'em
a'yway...

Sorry couldn't resist :-))

C major:
C F G Am ( to beautify G7 D7 C7) will cover most. Songs like this need to
have simple harmonies to survive.

Greetings
Tarper

I remember traveling in Germany, how they like
to sing in the beer halls.

Randall Post...
These should keep you busy for a while.

Not surprisingly, many of them are sung by Country singers.

Randall Post...
Those Were The Days - Mary Hopkin

Margaritaville - Jimmy Buffett, plus at least another dozen songs by him

Little Brown Jug (8 verses)

mark-t2...
These are all good.
What is all that nieh stuff about?
