I was going to reply to my previous thread, but that's been closed. So
let's start again.

Some of you might remember that I produce a weekly radio competition
where listeners have to guess the common link between five
consecutively-played songs.

The main criterion is that the songs must all have been hits before
1985. They can't be obscure songs from albums that no-one's heard of.

I thought of running a days-of-the-week theme, playing five songs which
contain the words Monday, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri respectively.

Markus Steiner...
You're obviously looking for "Lady Madonna" by the Beatles :-)

"Monday's child has learned to tie his bootlace..."
"Tuesday afternoon is never ending..."
"Wednesday morning paper's didn't come..."
"Thursday night your stockings needed mending..."
"Friday night arrives without a suitcase..."

You can also find a Sunday there ("Sunday morning creeping like a
nun..."), but interestingly no Saturday. IIRC McCARTNEY once said that
this wasn't done on purpose, but probably he had in mind that Saturday
was just a great night out.

I also seem to remember that the line about Wednesday was one of the
"clues" that Paul actually died in a car crash.

Cheers,
Markus

Can anyone help? It's not as easy as it sounds: the names of the days
must NOT appear in the song title. Otherwise it becomes too obvious.
