R H Draney...
I can't seem to find on CD anywhere the song "Cat's Eye In The Window" by Tommy
James (possibly with or without the Shondells)...it was a minor chart hit at the
time it came out (early 70s) and I even still have it on a 45, but it seems to
have disappeared entirely since then...does anyone know of a collection that
it's on?...

Seems like a lot of artists have songs in their catalog that they later try to
distance themselves from...even Paul McCartney never acknowledges his "Mary Had
a Little Lamb" and "Give Ireland Back to the Irish" singles nowadays....r

Well, it took some time to find, but the song is available on what
looks to be a Swiss compilation CD called 'It's a New Vibration: An
Ultimative Collection'. It was released in 1997 on the 'Westside
Label' with the label number 'WESD 203'. Otherwise, I cannot find any
Tommy James CD on which it has been included.

Here's the link for the website where I found the information.

That rare, eh?...I notice that most of the Tommy James compilations run right up
to "Draggin' The Line" (home of one of the silliest lines ever found in a lyric)
and then stop...a bold few include "Three Times In Love"....

Guess "Cat's Eye" goes on the extreme-rarities list with Paul Anka's "Blauw
wildebeest-Fontein" or however it's spelled....r

Hope that helps,
