Hi - I'm a newbie to this MB... am looking to identify the title & the
artist of a country-western song. Thought this NG may be able to
help??
OK... back in the early 1980s my sister participated in Jacki
Sorenson's aerobic dancing classes. She also (gasp!) brought along her
cassette tape recorder, to capture the instructor's shouted cues to the
dance steps, and also caught the background music to the songs used by
the instructor in the class.
On one of the tapes, there was a small "snippet' of a song by a
country-western-sounding group: all that was played (unfortunately)
was about less than a half-minute. All that can be heard from the
"snippet" was a twangy-sounding like group (more than 1), sounding like
the group Alabama (or very similar?), with these lyrics heard, "all
good things must end..."
And these lyrics "all good things must end" were kinda loud, but the

artist who sang these words did so without any "background music" with
them. (Yes, sort of a-capella, at least just for these few words only,
perhaps?) Also, the "snippet" that I have on the tape reminds me of the
bluegrass-style of music -- like the kind where you want to sort of
slap your hand to your thigh, in tune and in touch to the rhythm the
music makes!! :)
Was wondering if any die-hard country fans out there could give me some
insight? If this could help, I have this snippet also saved as an .mp3
file -- any way I might be able to post this mp3 to a NG or such (?),
in hopes that someone may be able to "listen" to better identify the
title and artist? Any ideas out there?
Anyone?
Many thanks for any insight you can give me! :)
