Current and Past films....

The Starmaker...
I'm getting tired of downloading current films,
(there isn't that many good ones) (everybody seems to be downloading Borat!)
so I was looking for past films to download, but
I'm not familar with titles of some past films....
I mean, how do you look for past films?
I discovered an easy way!

I just do a search for a year.
I type for example: 1954
and then I get a list of movies
made in 1954.

Then I change the year.

"They Came From Beyond Space (1967)" Is that a good movie?

I don't think I've seen "The Trip (1967)"

I never saw "Singing In The Rain" before...

"Reefer Madness (1930)" Now I've got to see that!!!

leo86...
SINGIN' IN THE RAIN is great and should be seen on the big screen; THE
TRIP is very good; THEY CAME FROM BEYOND SPACE, is dull, cheap British
sci-fi, but I remember liking it anyway; REEFER MADNESS (1936, not
1930) is a hoot and should be seen with a group, preferably in a haze
of smoke (at least that's how I remember experiencing the movie some
three decades ago. Interestingly, THE TRIP is 40 years old and REEFER
MADNESS is 70 years old. When THE TRIP came out, it was only 30 years
after REEFER.

Why don't you just subscribe to cable and get TCM--Turner Classic
Movies--there's good stuff on there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, etc.

The Starmaker...
How do you know I'm not posting from Darfur, South Africa?

Grant Hurlock...
Because to post from both Darfur & South Africa you'd need to be Pippi
Longstocking.

Derek Janssen...
And to apply the same logic, how do you know he ISN'T? :)

nick666...
I think what he means, is that there's no town called Darfur in South
Africa. Darfur is in Sudan.

Derek Janssen...
(Er, I KNOW...Was just pointing out, how do you know Starmaker *doesn't*
have red pigtails and speak in badly-dubbed Swedish?)

Derek Janssen (it would explain many of his posts, after all!)
