I'm wondering: Wouldn't Steve have had a microphone so he could
communicate with his camera man? I know on the final showings there are
voice-overs done, but I thought diving helmets were now equipped with mics
and such. Not true? Anyone know?
I'm sure the would have been a conversation loaded with expletives!

I was watching 'Street Smarts' on GSN (The Network For Games) just
last night (1AM) and they showed a picture of Steve Irwin to the three
on-the-streets people the contestants choose and asked all 3: "This man
is known as the [what] Hunter?"
Ouch! Bad timing in the cycle of their 'Street Smarts' run.

I was under the impression he was snorkeling. If so, he just has to raise his
head out of the water and spit out the snorkel to speak.
There are full face masks used with scuba but they are fairly uncommon... used
for film, dirty or very cold water work. Most scuba divers don't use them. No
