Actually, except for one paragraph, the review is a slam of FG (for
example, he mentions the joke where Ray Charles is accompanying Ella
Fitzgerald on the piano when she sings her high note that shatters a
glass on the piano, causing the glass shards to blind him); the last
paragraph refers to "one random, interchangeable joke after another",
which there is very little of in AD (in fact, that's probably why most
FG fans hate it - it's FG without most of the things that make FG
funny).
Tucker also mentions that he's the EW reporter whose neck Stewie snaps
on the red carpet at the beginning of "Stewie Griffin: The Untold
Story", which leads me to ask, why let him review the AD DVD in the
first place?

But the daughter's tired liberal vegetarian stand is interchangeable and
done funnier in the '90s during 'Roseanne'.

I'm not sure it's a journalist's (or his editor's) responsibility to
recuse themselves when a subject makes them a target.

This was my reaction, too. I'm NOT a fan of American Dad -- I
actively *despise* the show and I think it was a totally unfair review
given Tucker and MacFarlane's mutual animosity. Same thing as having
Christopher Hitchens write a review of Hillary Clinton's autobiography
