Why has Wesley Snipes's career gone down the toilet so fast?

Has he been blackballed? (excuse the pun)

Did he get too greedy and ask for unreasonable film wages?

All of his latest work seem to go straight to video. (and it has been
that way for a while).

I heard he was a dick on the Blade III set.

I'd say once word got out that he beat Halle Berry so badly that she lost
hearing in an ear might do the trick.

Being a dick has nothing to do with it. The only unforgivable sin in
Hollywood is not making money. All else will be forgiven, so long as the
money still comes in. You could eat live babies on television, and you'd
still get work, so long as your ratings are good while doing it.

He's actually had too much of a career, if you ask me. And it took way
longer than it should have for his career to wind up in the toilet,
thanks to the "Blade" trilogy. I don't think he's a good actor at all,
and as far as I can see, he never lucked into a huge blockbuster OR a
film that landed on ANY critic's top-10 list of the year ('cept for
probably "New Jack City" from Roger Ebert the year it came out).

The "Blade" movies were successful, but they didn't make silly-$$$.

He had two nice runs . . . once in the early 90s (New Jack, Jungle
Fever, White Men Can't Jump), and again with the "Blade" trilogy.

And now, he should go home, and stay there.

The world has seen more than enough of Wesley Snipes.

I haven't seen a movie with Wesley Snipes in it in 10 years, I'm happy
to say.
