It's Hugh: Hef

Cool, same first name. Reminds me of an interview I read of someone
involved with the Rocketeer movie. He joked that they named Jennifer
Connely's character Jennifer so she wouldn't miss her lines :)

Nooooo! I don't want to see Hugh play the Sleazebag from Hell.

Cool, same first name, overwhelmingly better looks, and an additional 7
inches (and that's just in height!).
Alan Alda or Larry King (in the role of a lifetime) would have been a
somewhat more believable choice.
But seriously, folks, wouldn't Sam Waterston (appropriately restyled) do a
bang-up job as Hef?

Fresh from wowing crowds at the Cannes Film Festival, Aussie sensation
Jackman yesterday proved he still called Australia home when he touched down
in Sydney.
With wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their two children Oscar and Ava, the
casual Jackman clan appeared anything but the superstar family.
Yet legendary skirt-chaser Hefner reckons Jackman's the real deal after
watching X-Men: The Last Stand.
"I'd love Hugh to play me," the 80-year-old tycoon said.

Jackman, 37, has returned home to reprise the role of Peter Allen in the
Broadway musical that sent his career into the stratosphere.
The family is believed to be settling down on the Northern Beaches ahead of
Boy From Oz rehearsals on June 26.

To feed his ego before he pushes off into the great beyond, Hef has
chosen a man to play him who is taller and much better looking than he
was.

I think it would be hysterical if they cast somebody like Danny DeVito or
Joe Pesci.
Kevin Spacey would do a great job at this. The best actors for the job, who
are both indisposed (one died, one's seriously sick, as I recall) would be
the two guys who portrayed Samantha's TV husband in "Bewitched"

The "book" is filled with many competent B actors
who would be splendid IMHO
