Madonna has laughed off speculation her marriage to Guy Ritchie is in
trouble, but she insists she deserves a "pat on the back" for putting up
with the British director.

every opportunity to say something loving, affectionate and kind--she

You're totally right. Considering that this "press statement" is
supposed to be a positive affirmation of a happy union, it is quite odd
that all the quotes from Madonna's own mouth about her marriage and
husband are very negative ones.

someone who is as strong-willed and ambitious as I am.
