An online poll at
staggering 98% of forum members who watch the UK Celebrity Big Brother
show featuring Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty think she has been the
subject of racially-motivated bullying.

Col...
But isn't the whole point of these Big Brother things to promote
conflict in every imaginable way?
They're not intended to see how well people get along!
So we have whispering behind people's backs, in-fighting,
back-stabbing, bullying and practically any other example
of unpleasant behaviour you can think of.
Racism is just another form of unpleasant behaviour so I
don't quite understand why in this situation it's considered
beyond the pale.

Ian F....
Most conflict behaviour is OK and encouraged by Endemol, but the line is
drawn at bullying and racism. They will take action, I'm convinced,
against the coterie of ghastly little chavs who have created this
atmosphere of hatred.

You reap what you sow....

Dom Robinson...
I thought 98% of forum members had never heard of her?

Mother Farquhar...
Yeah but the other 2% had REALLY heard of her so that makes up for it.

A video posted at
fellow contestant Jo from S Club 7 makes fun of Shilpa for bleaching
the hair on her face.

Other comments she made detailed at
in record numbers of complaints being made to Channel Four and
regulatory bodies.

Schrodinger...
Interestingly a poll by radio 5 live about the Mohammed cartoons was quickly
swamped with texts condemning them, as was a poll about the wearing of the
niqab.

It seems that certain issues are circulated by text and large numbers of
people on these text lists then swing into action.
