After Smith claimed he could solve a Rubik's Cube in less than two
minutes, Oprah challenged him to prove it. As Winfrey cut to
commercials, Smith feverishly clicked away and had solved the colorful
puzzle when the show returned after the break, leaving the host stunned
and impressed.

I do recall learning on E! that he had been accepted to Stanford
after high school and cut a deal with his parents that they would allow
him to take off for a year and try the entertainment thing- if it didnt
happen, he would go to school and the rest is history. So, he is
supposed to be mighty bright.

His mother was a Philadelphia school teacher, so I don't think she would
have taken his education lightly.

He may be mighty bright but being accepted by Stanford isn't necessarily
the same thing ...
