her stage fright by concentrating on the outfit she is wearing.

The LOST IN TRANSLATION beauty insists she is a private person and only
appears outgoing in front of the press because she is keen to show off her
latest figure-hugging dress.

She tells the New York Daily News, "I don't really enjoy them. I actually
have horrible stage fright when it comes to those things.

"But I'm usually so excited about what I'm wearing, that's why I seem to
bound up to the press line! It's purely a vanity thing. Normally I'm very

Remember when movie stars were stars? It was largely because they
managed to maintain a mystique.

And they pulled that off by *not* talking to the press every five
seconds saying vacuous things that made them look like self-obsessed
airheads.

and their publicists knew the value of inaccessibility.

How long before the public adulation turns to resentment and scorn?

Don't think it can't happen: Look at Britain's royal family. So long as
