Presley linen fit for a King
March 01, 2006
BEING privy to the finest linen at Elvis Presley's Graceland is undoubtedly
going to influence a girl.
So it was no wonder Priscilla Presley - in Sydney to launch her Luxury
Linens Collection with design partner Bruno Schiavi - was excited about
showing off her range yesterday.
One of the world's most famous widows hosted a catwalk show of her exclusive
collection of bed linens, cushions, towels and bathrobes - and there wasn't
a leopard print or any blue suede in sight, reports Claire Bingham.
The range is as impeccably put together as the lady herself, who at 60,
looks best when she breaks her carefully maintained porcelain veneer with a

giggle, as opposed to her media-wary smile.
Presley said her taste for luxury between the sheets stemmed from her Elvis
days.
"When it comes to developing a personal taste, you have to start somewhere,"
she said.
"This was my first introduction into finery and once you've slept in fine
linens, you can't go back."
The collection is top-end, but priced affordably and according to Presley,
provides the best chance of a good night's sleep.
No stranger to the Harbour city, Presley said she was all shook up about
being in town.
"This is my fourth trip to Sydney," she said. "I told my daughter when she
was due to come over that she was going to love it.
"There's an enthusiasm and zest for life, which I find incredible. I hope
you're never going to change."
