Prince has demanded a purple carpet be laid out for him at the Brit
awards.

He probably won't quit if they refuse, so it's not a demand, but a request.

The legendary artist, who is rumoured to be performing at the star-studded
ceremony, is not content with the traditional red carpet and has asked the
organisers to find one in his trademark colour.

Meanwhile, Prince was seen at Paris Hilton's early birthday party in London.

The eccentric singer was seen at the bash, held this week at exclusive
nightspot the Kaberet Prophecy club, trying not to attract attention.

However, Paris, who turns 26 on February 17, jumped into the DJ box and told
the crowd: "I'm celebrating my birthday and Prince is in the house, so I
want to play his new single because he's hot."

Prince snuck out of the party via the back door wearing a hooded top to
disguise himself.

Paris was later seen leaving at 3:30am allegedly grumbling about an early
meeting with designer Julien McDonald the next day.
