I would think that the University or some sort of governing body would
take action, despite the denial of Knight, the kid, and his parental
unit. It is very obvious from the tape that Knight DID slap the kid. I
suppose the kid should be grateful that he wasn't a chair to be thrown
across the court.

other in the arm amounts to assault. If I were on a jury, I
would not vote to convict. Had some mid-major coach done the
same thing, you wouldn't have heard about it.
