Do we know the middle name of Miss "Kate" Middleton, inamorata of HRH
Prince William? Miss Middleton - Catherine E. Middleton - was born 9
January, 1982.
Have previous Queen Consorts been Katherine or Catherine, or both? I
think Katherine of Aragon spelt her name with a "K", but that Catherine
Stephen Stillwell / Tom Wilding...

Actually, I think her name was more likely Catalina.

Originally it was, but, like all foreign consorts, she was known by
the anglicised form of her name. The only one to resist this process
seems have been Anne of Denmark, who always called herself Anna,
although everyone else called her Anne, except her husband, who called
her Annie.
I wouldn't attach any significance at all to the difference between
"Katherine" and "Catherine". The two forms were interchangeable (with
an occasional "Katharine" or "Catharine" for variety).

Howard and Catherine Parr were with a "C".
With the speculation that the Prince of Wales is toying with the idea
of becoming "George VII", then perhaps in William's reign we'll have a
"King Louis", "King Philip" or "King Arthur" and his Queen could be
similarly pedantic and be "Queen Euphemia" or whatever Miss Middleton's
"E" stands for. King William and Queen Catherine may sound splendid,
but oh think of the joint the monogram on the Balmoral writing paper:
"WC".
