Guy Stair Sainty...
Before poor Mr Buyers argues about Greek translations any further, he might like
to reflect that the author of the Greek setcion, an officer in the Greek
army, has collected Greek medals and decorations since 1989. Since 2003 he has
been editor of Syllektika Chronica (“Collectable Chronicles”), the journal of
the Historical Collectables Collectors’’ Association of Northern Greece. He is a
member of the Hellenic Numismatic Society and the Orders and Medals Society of
America. Perhaps he is better qualified than Mr Buyers to understand the
Greek language and make a proper translation of the names of these Orders.

Thes are given as:

Order of the Redeemer
Basilikon tagma toi soteros

Royal Family Order of Saint George and Saint Constantine
Basilikon oikogenaiakon tagma ton agio Georgioy kai Konstantinoi

Royal Order of George I
Basilikon tagma toy Georgioy A

So who, if not the learned gentleman, turned this into "The Royal Order
of *King* George I"?

Order of the Redeemer
Basilikon tagma toi soteros

Order of Honour
Tagma Aristias tis Timis

Order of the Phoenix
Tagma Aristias tou Finikos

Order of Beneficence (also known as Order of Good Deeds)
Tagma Aristias tis Efpoilas

We were pleased to have the assistance also of the Greek Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, which provided us with fine illustrations (as well as some from private
collections), and from Arthus Bertrand, who provided us with their
original designs as well as some insignia; with others from auction houses.
