pierre_aronax...
What is the coat-of-arms of the present Countess Mountbatten of Burma?

A picture would be great.

bxzi...
"Arms- Quarterly: 1st and 4th, azure, a lion rampant double queued
barry of ten, argent and gules, armed and langued of the last, crowned
or, within a bordure compony of the 2nd and 3rd; 2nd and 3rd, argent,
two pallets sable charged on the honour point with an escutcheon of the
arms of the late Princess Alice (namely, the Royal Arms differenced
with a label of three points argent, on the centre point charged with a
rose gules barbed vert, and each of the other points with an ermine
spot sable), Supporters- On either side a lion double queued and
crowned all or."

I wish I could send you a picture but have no way to do so.

Pierre, I hope this helps you in some small way. (Frankly, I might as
well have been typing Latin because I don't understand a word of it!)

pierre_aronax...
Thank you very much to have typed it. Those are the coat-of-arms of his
father: probably I should have specified in my previous message I was
interested to know if she had something from her husband in her arms.

bxzi...
You're welcome, Pierre. However, what I typed was from Debrett's 2003
so that is the present Countess' coat-of-arms-- at least up to that
point. I do not know if she has changed it since then.

I see no reason her arms would have changed. However her son could have
quartered her arms with that of his fathers arms though I don't know if
that has been done.It would be a way of preserving both arms in use.
