Today's Financial Times has an article on the creation of a new committee, the
Allegiance Institution, made up of sons and grandsons of king Abdul-Aziz. It
will have veto power over the appointment of the crown prince by the king. The
article is a little unclear over the details of the procedure, but it appears
that in case of rejection the council could choose one of three names put
