Diofebo Meli-Lupi, aged 65, prince di Soragna, was born in Varese and
lives in Soragna (Parma). He is a Reserve Officer of the 6th Alpine
Regiment ; he graduated political sciences at the "Universit=E0
Cattolica del Sacro Cuore" in Milan and works as an insurance
consultant, dealing mostly with agricultural business.

He is =AB Principe del Sacro Romano Impero e di Soragna, Marchese,
Grande di Spagna (1st class) - Conte Palatino - Patrizio Veneto -
Nobile di Bologna. Styled as Don. Cavaliere d'Onore e Devozione e
Commendatore di giuspatronato del S.M. Ordine di Malta, Cavaliere di
Gran Croce e Gran Cancelliere del S.A.I. Ordine Costantiniano di San
Giorgio, Cavaliere di Gran Croce dell'Ordine di San Lodovico, Cavaliere
di Gran Croce dell'Ordine di Sant'Agata. =BB
Since March 2004, he is the chancellor of the (Parmesan) Constantinian
Order of St George.

PS - Through his Quaranta mother - Margareta -, he is the grandson
of Madeleine Lahovary, younger sister of Marthe, Princess Bibesco
(1886-1973) ; the two were the daughters of Ioan Lahovary (1848-1915,
diplomat, minister of foreign affairs, president of the Conservative
Party) and of Emma Mavrocordato (d. 1920). These Lahovary-Mavrocordato
connections link the prince di Soragna to 5 interrelated Roumanian
families : Lahovary, Mavrocordato (the branch of Vladimir Mavrocordato
[of Ruspoli descent], now living in France), Kretzulesco
(extinguished), Bassaraba de Brancovan and Comanesco de Brancovan.
